Reverse description Crowned shield bearing the striped arms of the Valais, set within a baroque cartouche and flanked by six five-pointed stars arranged symmetrically in the field. A small double-headed eagle appears above the shield. The divided date 17-78 is placed to either side of the shield in the lower field, while the circular legend COM.ET.PRÆF.REIP.VALLES surrounds the design, referencing Ambüel's title as Count and Prefect of the Republic of Valais.
