Obverse description Detailed architectural view in high relief of the gatehouse facade of Stonyhurst College, featuring a multi-storey frontage with two flanking domed towers, arched entrance doorway, and classical pilasters. The legend RELIGIONI AVITAE is arranged to the left and AVITAE to the right of the building, with COLL·STONYHVRST inscribed in the exergue below. A small engraver's mark is visible at lower right of the building.
