Reverse description A finely detailed relief view of the west front of the City of London School building in Gothic Revival style, featuring a central tower, battlemented parapets, pointed arched windows and an ornate entrance portal. The legend CITY OF LONDON SCHOOL appears at the sides, with FOUNDED BY THE CORPORATION 1834 in the lower field. The architect's and engraver's signatures (J. B. BUNNING ARCH. and B. WYON F.) appear at the base of the building.
