Obverse description Effigy of Queen Victoria crowned and veiled, seated three-quarters left on a throne, her right hand raised and her left hand resting on the head of a recumbent dog at her feet. The central device is surrounded by a wreath of roses, thistles and oak leaves, with the legend divided to either side and PATRONA inscribed below in the exergue. The engraver's signature G.G. ADAMS appears on the base.
