Obverse description Central crowned shield bearing the figure of Hibernia holding an olive branch, with an Irish wolfhound and harp at her side. The shield is flanked by two full-length male figures in relief: a uniformed soldier with a sword on the left, and a civilian rifleman with a rifle on the right.
