Obverse description Central device featuring the Rod of Asclepius with a serpent entwined around a staff, flanked on either side by crossed scimitars and olive branches, all set against a radiate sunburst background. A scroll banner in the lower central field carries the legend 'NORTH PERSIAN FORCES', with 'MEMORIAL MEDAL' inscribed along the lower rim. The border is decorated with an ornate scrollwork pattern.

Reverse description The reverse features a large shield-shaped cartouche in high relief, flanked by laurel branches and supported by decorative scroll mounts at top and bottom. The cartouche bears a multi-line inscription presenting the medal, with the year '1924' and the recipient's name 'CAPTAIN WILLIAM HOOD DYE / R.A.M. CORPS' engraved in the lower portion. British hallmarks are visible at the base of the design.
