Reverse description The full heraldic achievement of the Marquess of Lansdowne in high relief at centre, comprising a quartered shield with two winged horse supporters rampant on either side, a crowned helmet with mantling above, and a decorative collar with pendant orders below. The motto VIRTUTE NON VERBIS appears on a scroll beneath the shield, within a beaded border. The surrounding legend reads PRESENTED BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR GENERAL.
