Obverse description Minerva seated right, wearing a plumed helmet and draped robes, holding a long spear in her raised right hand and a cornucopia overflowing with fruit in her left arm. A shield bearing the Irish harp rests at her side, and a lyre appears at lower right. The legend arcs across the upper field, with the Royal Dublin Society incorporation details inscribed on a tablet in the lower exergue. The engraver's signature MOSSOP F. appears below the figure.
