Reverse description A large open laurel wreath tied at the base occupies the central field, enclosing engraved text awarding the medal to the recipient. The circular legend around the upper border reads 'TO MISS TWINING MDCCCXIV', and at the base below the wreath tie appears 'SOCY. INSD. LONDON 1753'. The border is decorated with a beaded inner ring and a floral outer band matching the obverse.
