Obverse description Britannia standing in full figure, helmeted and draped in classical robes, resting her left hand on a fluted column beside a Union shield, raising an olive branch aloft in her right hand, and trampling a writhing dragon beneath her feet. The scene is set on a raised platform, with the engraver's signature P. WYON. S. in the lower right field. The surrounding legend arcs around the upper periphery within a raised border.
