The composition allegorically represents the agricultural, industrial, and natural resources of British Columbia.

Reverse description The legend in raised capital letters is arranged across the field within a wreath of maple leaves tied at the base, flanked by decorative scrollwork cartouches. A Union Jack displayed within an oval cartouche appears at the top, and the date 1913 is set within a scrollwork cartouche at the bottom. A maker's name is faintly inscribed in the lower field below the legend.
