Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse features a gilt relief depiction of the Avro Vulcan delta-wing bomber in flight against a red and gold enamel field, with a Royal Air Force roundel in blue, white, and red enamel to the lower left. The legend is presented in two lines across the lower portion of the field, divided by a horizontal band. The rim is decorated with an alternating reeded and dotted border in gold and red enamel.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse displays the enamelled badge of the Royal Air Force in high relief, comprising a gilt eagle with spread wings set within a light blue roundel, surmounted by a gilt St. Edward's Crown with red enamel detail. The RAF motto encircles the central roundel, and the field is divided horizontally into navy blue above and dark red below. The rim repeats the alternating reeded and dotted border in gold and red enamel.
