| Obverse description | Central field displays a stylised quadruped, most likely a deer or kijang, depicted in profile facing right in a walking or prancing posture. Above the animal, decorative foliate or tree-like devices fill the upper field, while curvilinear scroll motifs occupy the upper right. The entire design is rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of hammered Malay gold coinage of the 16th century, with the motifs occupying nearly the full flan. |
