Struck in 79 AD, the final year of Vespasian's reign — he died in June of that year, reportedly joking on his deathbed that he was becoming a god. The titulature places this issue precisely: tribunicia potestas X and cos VIIII together fall within a narrow window, making it among the last aurei issued under his authority before Titus assumed power.
