| Obverse description | Draped and laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the robust, realistic portraiture characteristic of Flavian coinage. The emperor's mature features — prominent brow, strong jaw, and close-cropped hair bound with a laurel wreath — are rendered with considerable sculptural detail. Ribbon ties of the laurel wreath are visible at the neck. The peripheral legend runs clockwise around the obverse field, separated from the bust by a dotted border. |
