Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the unflinching veristic tradition of Flavian portraiture, capturing the emperor's powerful, lined features, prominent brow, and close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The bust is bare-shouldered, truncated at the neck, and executed with the confident, deeply modelled relief characteristic of Neronian and early Flavian aurei. The encircling legend IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG runs around the full circumference of the obverse field, contained within a beaded border.
