| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered with characteristic realism, depicting the emperor's mature features including a broad forehead and strong jaw. The laurel wreath, symbol of imperial and military authority, is finely engraved across the brow. The legend encircles the effigy along the beaded border, reading IMP CAESAR VESP AVG. The portrait is executed in the naturalistic Flavian style, consistent with official Roman imperial coinage of the early 70s AD. |
