| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered with vigorous portraiture characteristic of Trajanic coinage. The emperor wears a laurel wreath and a paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder, conveying both imperial and military authority. The finely detailed hair curls beneath the wreath reflect the high artistic standard of the Rome Mint engravers of the period. The encircling legend reads IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, running clockwise around the obverse field. The beaded border frames the composition with customary precision. |
