Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair beneath a laurel wreath, the drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic realism of Trajanic imperial coinage, with a strong profile and prominent facial features. The encircling legend is deeply struck in bold Roman capitals within a beaded border, reading from lower left. A small aegis or paludamentum drape is visible at the bust truncation, befitting the imperial military iconography of the period.
