Reverse description A tetrastyle circular temple of Vesta depicted in elevated three-quarter perspective, set upon a multi-stepped podium. The domed roof is decorated with a latticed pattern and surmounted by a finial, supported by six slender columns visible in the composition. Within the intercolumniation, a small figure tends an altar flame at the centre, while two attendant figures — one to each side of the colonnade — flank the structure. The legend VESTA appears in the upper field, distributed between the columns, within a beaded border.
