The effigy displays strong, individualized facial features consistent with contemporary portraiture of Titus as Caesar and co-regent under Vespasian. A beaded border frames the design, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, as is typical of hand-struck Roman imperial gold coinage of the period. |

The animal is depicted with a naturalistic stance, its head slightly lowered. The reverse field is uncluttered, allowing the principal device to dominate the composition. The abbreviated consular legend appears in the upper field above the heifer, within a beaded border that encircles the entire design. |
