| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Titus facing right, depicted with characteristic curly hair beneath the wreath, the portrait rendered in high relief in the naturalistic Flavian style. The effigy displays strong, individualized facial features consistent with contemporary portraiture of Titus as Caesar and co-regent under Vespasian. A beaded border frames the design, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, as is typical of hand-struck Roman imperial gold coinage of the period. |
