Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in fine relief with detailed portraiture characteristic of early Imperial die-cutting. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic features — a strong jaw, prominent brow, and close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath — evoking Augustan artistic tradition. The circular legend surrounds the portrait within a beaded border, with the inscription distributed across the upper and lower fields. The flan, as typical of Tiberian aurei struck at Lugdunum, is slightly irregular in shape. The overall style reflects the high-quality goldsmith work of the Lugdunum mint.
