The bust is bare, with the truncation visible at the lower left. The surrounding legend is incuse in Latin capitals, distributed around the full circumference of the flan within a beaded border. The die engraving reflects the restrained, classicising style of the Flavian-Nervan period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The personification of Libertas depicted standing to the left, draped in a flowing stola, holding a pileus (freedman's cap) in her raised right hand and a short upward-pointing sceptre in her lowered left hand. The figure is rendered in the elegant, classicising style of the Nervan mint, with drapery folds carefully articulated. The reverse legend LIBERTAS PVBLICA is distributed in the field around the standing figure, proclaiming the ideal of public liberty that Nerva championed following the reign of Domitian. |
