| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Nerva facing right, rendered in fine high relief with characteristic aged facial features, prominent brow, and carefully articulated curls of the laurel wreath. The bust is bare, with the truncation visible at the lower left. The surrounding legend is incuse in Latin capitals, distributed around the full circumference of the flan within a beaded border. The die engraving reflects the restrained, classicising style of the Flavian-Nervan period. |
