Obverse description Laureate head of Nero facing right, rendered with characteristic fleshy features including a broad neck and curled hair, the laurel wreath rendered with individual leaves across the brow. The portrait displays the mature Neronian style, with the emperor's beard finely detailed. The surrounding legend in Latin capitals reads IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P P, distributed around the periphery of the flan within a beaded border.
