Reverse description The personification of Concordia, fully draped, is depicted seated to the left upon an ornate throne or chair. In her extended right hand she holds a patera, the libation bowl symbolic of piety and divine communion, while her left arm cradles a cornucopiae, the emblem of abundance and prosperity. The figure is rendered with careful attention to drapery folds in the Julio-Claudian classical style. The reverse legend CONCORDIA AVGVSTA arcs around the field, invoking the sacred harmony of the Augustan imperial order.
