She holds a caduceus in her right hand and a cornucopia (horn of plenty) in her left, both attributes emblematic of her divine function as bringer of good fortune. The reverse legend FELICITAS CAESS NOSTR encircles the design, proclaiming the felicity of the Caesars. In the exergue, the mint mark SBIT identifies the Ticinum mint, officina II. The composition is executed in the restrained, formal style characteristic of Tetrarchic aurei. |
