| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing draped figure of Pietas facing left, rendered in a flowing chiton, extending her right hand forward in an act of offering or sacrifice toward a small altar at her left, while her left hand holds a patera or vessel. The composition is framed within a bold beaded border. The legend PIETAS COS is inscribed in two parts in the lower field on either side of the figure, evoking the divine virtue of piety in connection with Antony's consulship. The style is typical of the mobile military mint coinage of the triumviral period. |
