| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a standing female figure, identified as Salus, personification of Safety and Well-being of the human race, rendered in a dynamic three-quarter pose facing left. She stands on a rocky ground or base, her drapery flowing, and extends one arm forward while holding what appears to be a patera or similar attribute. The composition is bold and occupies much of the reverse field. The encircling legend SALVS GEN HVMANI, meaning 'Salvation of the Human Race', reflects Galba's propagandistic message of liberation and restoration following the reign of Nero. The style is consistent with the die-engraving workshops active at the Rome mint during the Year of the Four Emperors. |
