Reverse description The personification of Libertas stands facing left in full figure, clad in a long stola and palla, raising her right hand aloft holding a pileus (freedman's cap), the traditional symbol of liberty, while extending her left hand forward presenting a sceptre. The figure is rendered in a classical contrapposto stance within an open field. The legend LIBERTAS PVBLICA is inscribed in two parts flanking the figure, within a beaded border, proclaiming the restoration of public freedom under Galba's reign.
