Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, rendered with fine portraiture detail including short curled hair beneath the laurel wreath and a characteristic strong jaw. The neck is bare and the portrait is set within a beaded border that frames the entire field. The circumferential legend runs clockwise in crisp Latin capitals, naming the emperor with his full imperial titulature.
