Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, with aegis on the shoulder, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curled hair bound by a laurel wreath with trailing ties. The effigy displays the characteristic strong Flavian portraiture, with a prominent nose and firm jaw. The encircling Latin legend is set within a beaded border, reading continuously around the full circumference of the flan.
