| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Concordia is depicted seated left upon a high-backed throne, her figure draped in flowing robes rendered with fine detail. In her extended right hand she holds a patera, symbolising pious offering, while her left hand supports a double cornucopiae, emblematic of abundance and harmony. The reverse legend CONCORDIA AVGG ET CAESS NNNN, referencing the concordia among the two Augusti and two Caesares of the Tetrarchy, runs around the periphery. The Aquileia mint mark appears in the exergue. The composition reflects the ideological programme of the Tetrarchic system, emphasising unity and divine favour among the four co-rulers. |
