Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Constantius I as Caesar facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and a short beard. The effigy displays the characteristic portraiture of the Tetrarchic period, with strong, idealized facial features. A laurel wreath crowns the head, with ribbon ties visible at the nape. The legend is distributed across the field to left and right of the bust, separated by a beaded inner border. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of late third-century aurei from the Trier mint.

Reverse description Hercules, depicted nude and facing right, kneels with his left knee upon the back of a stag, grasping the animal's antlers firmly with both hands in a scene evoking one of his legendary labors. The hero's muscular physique is rendered in the vigorous Tetrarchic style. The legend VIRTVS AVG*G* encircles the scene, invoking the martial valor of the Augusti. A mintmark appears in the exergue, identifying the issue to the Augusta Treverorum (Trier) mint. The design conveys the Herculian dynastic ideology promoted by Constantius I under the Tetrarchy.
