Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Constantine I facing right, portrayed as a youthful Caesar with finely rendered hair beneath the laurel wreath and a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic strong jaw and prominent nose of early Constantinian coinage, executed in high relief with confident hammered die work. The encircling Latin legend reads CONSTANTINVS NOB C, identifying Constantine as Nobilis Caesar, framed by a beaded border.
