附加信息	This aureus commemorates the Roman invasion of Britain in 43 AD, one of the most consequential military operations of Claudius's reign — and one he personally attended, however briefly, to claim the triumph his generals had already secured. The legend PRAETOR RECEPT, referring to the recovery of the praetorium or reception of a general's submission, is tied directly to the formal capitulation of British tribes at Camulodunum. Claudius spent only sixteen days in Britain. The coins did the political work his presence could not.
