Reverse description A slow quadriga advancing to the right, elaborately ornamented, surmounted by four miniature horses atop the car; a Victory figure stands on either side of the chariot, each holding a wreath or palm frond, flanking the central group symmetrically. The composition is consistent with Roman triumphal iconography used on posthumous consecratory coinage. The exergue is plain, and the abbreviated senatorial legend EX S C appears prominently in the field, denoting issue by special senatorial decree. The overall style is characteristic of the early Neronian mint workshop, with compact, well-centered design elements on an irregular hand-struck flan.
