Beschrijving voorzijde Bare head of Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in high relief with naturalistic portraiture characteristic of Julio-Claudian die-cutting. The emperor's hair is depicted in short, tightly clustered curls across the crown and brow. The bust is bare-shouldered and truncated at the base. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading TI CLAVD CAESAR AVG P M TR P VIIII IMP XVI, enumerating Claudius's imperial titles including his ninth tribunician power and sixteenth imperatorial acclamation. The numerals IMP XVI appear prominently in the lower field, partially visible beneath the bust.

Beschrijving keerzijde A triumphal arch depicted in three-quarter architectural elevation, with a central arched gateway flanked by two pilasters supporting an entablature on which the legend DE BRITANN is inscribed. Atop the arch, a quadriga driven by a victorious figure — identified as Claudius — advances to the right in high relief, flanked by two equestrian or standing military figures, each raising a hand in salute. The composition celebrates Claudius's conquest of Britain in AD 43, with the arch serving as a direct reference to the triumphal arch erected in Rome to commemorate the British campaign. The overall design is bold and emblematic, conveying imperial triumph through monumental architectural symbolism.
