Reverse description Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing right, depicted with a crown of radiating solar spikes symbolising his divine status. Two six-pointed stars are placed symmetrically in the left and right fields flanking the portrait, further emphasising the emperor's consecrated apotheosis. The portrait is rendered with fine engraving consistent with Lugdunum workshop production, and the flan retains the characteristic irregular shape of early Imperial hammered gold coinage. The fields are otherwise unlettered, focusing all attention on the deified image.
