| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate and cuirassed bust of Allectus facing right, rendered in the late Roman provincial style characteristic of the Camulodunum mint. The emperor is depicted with a radiate crown, the points of which are partially visible around the head. The bust is draped and armoured, with surface detail largely obscured by heavy patination and wear. The encircling legend IMP C ALLECTVS P F AVG runs along the periphery, identifying the emperor with his titles of piety and felicity. The flan is irregular and slightly spread, consistent with hammered production of the Britannic usurper coinage. |

The reverse legend PROVIDENTIA AVG encircles the design, invoking the foresight and divine providence of the Augustus. The mint marks S P and CL appear in the field and exergue respectively, indicating production at Camulodunum (modern Colchester). The surface is heavily worn and patinated with green corrosion, obscuring finer detail, though the standing figure remains discernible. The overall style is consistent with the debased billon coinage of the Britannic Empire under Allectus. |
