Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with short beard and draped paludamentum visible at the shoulder truncation, rendered in the provincial style typical of Asia Minor workshops. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic wavy hair bound by a laurel wreath, with finely delineated curls framing the face. The Greek legend ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΤΙϹΤΗϹ, identifying Hadrian as 'the Founder,' is disposed around the periphery of the flan. The strike is somewhat irregular, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the period.
