Reverse description Zeus standing in full figure to the left, depicted in a dignified, frontal-facing pose with head turned slightly left. The deity holds an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in his left hand, a standard iconographic type widely employed in Phrygian civic coinage. The Greek magistrate legend is inscribed in the field to either side of the figure, referencing the local strategos Claudius Hierax under whose authority the coin was struck.
