Obverse description The obverse presents multiple horizontal lines of bold Arabic script in the Mamluk epigraphic style, filling the irregular round flan. The legends are arranged in two principal registers separated by a ruled line, with the text reading from right to left across the field. The script is executed in a confident, angular hand characteristic of late Mamluk die-cutting, with the raised letters displaying strong relief against the granular gold ground. The inscription references the sultan's titles and name. A decorative border of short diagonal strokes frames the outer edge of the die area.
