| Obverse description | The obverse presents multiple horizontal lines of bold Arabic script in the Mamluk epigraphic style, filling the irregular round flan. The legends are arranged in two principal registers separated by a ruled line, with the text reading from right to left across the field. The script is executed in a confident, angular hand characteristic of late Mamluk die-cutting, with the raised letters displaying strong relief against the granular gold ground. The inscription references the sultan's titles and name. A decorative border of short diagonal strokes frames the outer edge of the die area. |
