Reverse description Hammered gold flan bearing the Islamic shahada inscription in bold nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged across two principal registers separated by a horizontal ruled line. The upper register contains the first part of the declaration of faith, and the lower register completes it with the name of the Prophet. The legends fill the field to the edges and are surrounded by a plain inner border with a beaded outer border, consistent with Hotak dynasty gold coinage struck at Iranian mints during the brief Afghan occupation.
