Obverse lettering ضرب في تفليس ١١١۵
(Translation: Struck in Tiflis 1115)
Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic-script legend in bold calligraphic strokes filling the central field, reading the mint and date formula. The inscription names the mint as Tiflis (تفليس) with the AH date 1115 prominently displayed in Arabic numerals at the base of the legend. The text is arranged in stacked horizontal registers, characteristic of Ottoman provincial hammered gold coinage. A beaded border, matching that of the obverse, encircles the entire design. The irregular flan edges and flat fields are consistent with hand-struck production at the Tiflis provincial mint.
