| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, depicted wearing the traditional Nepalese plumed crown (plumed helmet) adorned with a jewelled headband and decorative pendant, along with eyeglasses and draped ceremonial robes. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail. The Devanagari legend arcs around the upper periphery reading the royal titulature, while the lower field bears the inscription 'Nepal' and the Vikram Samvat date '2031' flanking a central dot. |
