(Translation: Aulus Vitellius Germanicus Imperator Augustus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestas Aulus Vitellius Germanicus, supreme commander (Imperator), emperor (Augustus), high priest, tribunician power.)
Reverse description The winged goddess Victoria advances to the left across the field, rendered in high relief in flowing drapery with large spread wings behind her. She holds a patera or wreath extended in her right hand and a palm branch in her left, striding purposefully over a small captive or enemy figure crouching at her feet upon a globe, symbolising universal Roman dominion. The legend VICTOR AVGVSTI is distributed in the field, with S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed in the lower exergual area, authorising the bronze coinage by senatorial decree. A dotted border frames the design on the inner rim.
