Reverse description Standing figure of Spes (personification of Hope) depicted facing left in full length, wearing a long flowing chiton and petasus-style headdress. She raises her right hand, lifting the hem of her garment with the left hand in the canonical Spes pose, symbolizing hope and expectation. The large senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently displayed in the left and right fields flanking the figure. The reverse field is otherwise plain, with no exergual inscription. The composition follows the standard Flavian aes coinage formula for senatorial-authorized bronze denominations.
