Reverse description A large eagle stands facing, wings spread wide, head turned to the left, depicted in bold relief at the center of the field. The monumental senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is placed prominently to either side of the eagle in large letters, flanking the figure in the mid-field. The reverse is framed by a beaded border on the irregular flan, with the field showing the characteristic flat, open treatment typical of Flavian-era aes coinage struck at Rome.
